ELTON LEWIS August 5, 1950 March 23, 2006 Suddenly at home, beloved husband of Susan, passed away. Predeceased by mother Daphne; father Milton; sisters, Erlese and Linda. Survived by brothers. Terry (Katie), Reuben, Garvin (Lynette) and Michael (Trish); sisters, Glenda and Judith (Garvin); son Brent (Erika); granddaughter Emmalee and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada, the U.S. and Trinidad as well as a great many friends and colleagues. Elton was born in Vessiginy Trinidad. As a young man he came to Winnipeg and worked as a welder for Abesco and Versatile. In 2001, he joined the Corps of Commissionaires where he was very happy working security at the Virology Lab and 17 Wing until 2005 when he had a heart attack and required emergency surgery to save him. Elton was a kind, gentle, artistic and generous man who enjoyed life, music and most of all art and painting which he hoped to do again. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. I want to thank Dr. Pascoe and his associates, as well as the staff of the St. Boniface Hospital for making this past year possible and Dr. Timothy Chan for all his help over the years. Also, the members of the 911 response team for all you did trying to save him. Elton, you were such a positive force in people's lives. You may have thought all those little things you did were just little things, but a wave, a hello, a smile or a sincere How are you today? , made people feel special and chased their blues away. You will always be remembered by all who knew you. Viewing will be held on Friday, March 31 between 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 1 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Terry Hidichuk. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Boniface Heart Foundation in Elton's memory would be appreciated. Your presence I miss, our memories, I treasure. It's lonely without you my love . - Love Always, Susan. THOMSON IN THE PARK FUNERAL HOME AND CEMETERY 1291 MCGILLIVRAY BLVD (BETWEEN PEMBINA WAVERLEY) 925-1120
